Fouls

A) In off (cue ball pocketed). See rule 4 (D)
B) Hitting opponents balls before his/her own except when rule 6(B) applies.
C) Failing to hit any ball with the cue ball.
D) Jump shots are defined as when the cue ball jumps over any part before making contact with any other object ball.
E) If a player hits the 8 ball (black) with the cue ball on the first impact before all his/her own balls have been pocketed except when rule 6(B) applies.
F) Pocketing any opponents balls except when rule 6(B) applies.
G) Ball off the table
1) Any object ball or the black ball, shall be returned to the 8 spot (see rule 4 (A)) or as near as possible to that spot without touching any other ball, in a direct line between that spot and the centre of the 'D'.
2) If the cue ball, the ball to be played from the position in the 'D' a ball shall be deemed off the table. if it comes to rest other than on the bed of the table.
H) If a players clothing or body should touch any ball.
I) Player not having at least one foot on the floor.
J) Playing or touching with the cue any ball other than the cue ball.
K) Playing out of turn.
L) Playing before all balls have come to rest.
M) Playing before the ball or balls have been respotted.
N) Striking the cue ball with any other part of the cue other than the tip.
O) Striking the cue ball with the cue more than once.
P) Failing to clearly nominate when 4(D) rule or rule 4(F) applies.
Q) Foul break (see rule 4 (C)).
R) Push stroke (see rule 8(A)).
S) Moving an object ball or the 8 ball (black) when playing away from a touching ball.
T) If in the opinion of the referee a blatant foul is played, the match to be awarded to the non striking play.

Penalty Following any Foul

Following a foul the oncoming player can EITHER
A) Play the white from where it lies with TWO shots free table (first shot)
B) With the referee.s permission have the white moved behind the line and have ONE free shot only. (Rule to be amended)
